"I think in order to be a great coach you need to be an expert and it was obvious during our conversation that you are both"
Denise Marek,
Host of First Take Live
(CHEX TV)

Before we started coaching, we weren’t sure how to talk about the issues we were facing. Rob’s easy going manner created a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. We were able to open up and, with Rob’s help, work towards achieving happiness and harmony in our blended family. Although issues still arise, we are now better prepared to handle them. Rob’s expertise, support and encouragement are priceless!”
— Bob and Cherilyn G.
Hamilton, ON

"Wow!! What a great coach you are! With just a few well-asked questions, Rob not only helped me to define my "fear" about making a leap, he also helped me define possibilities that I feel truly excited about but had never identified before!! Now that I have something to focus on, it doesn't seem so overwhelming anymore. In just one session, Rob helped me answer one of the nagging questions in my life. I'm really looking forward to our continued working relationship."

People come to coaching for many reasons, however, the bottom line is CHANGE.

Coaching will allow you to:

• Clarify YOUR values
• Enlarge YOUR vision
• Establish YOUR goals
• Define or rearrange YOUR priorities
• Develop YOUR action plan(s)
• Chart YOUR course to personal & professional fulfillment
• Breakthrough YOUR barriers.
• Defeat YOUR bullies
• Achieve YOUR dreams

As you can see from the points above, IT’S ALL ABOUT YOUR FULFILLMENT. Through regular coaching sessions:

  • You'll define specific goals
  • We'll identify barriers to success—both known and sometimes hidden
  • Together we'll develop a specific action plan
  • I will listen and ask powerful questions
  • We'll make sure you stay on track
  • I will help you create new perspectives, and offer insights with your permission.
  • I'll celebrate your wins (peaks), and support you through losses (valleys)
  • Together we'll design structures for success to encourage and empower you to achieve your dreams

Coaching is not therapy, counselling or psychology. Coaching is focused on your strengths not weakness and the future not the past. It is a commitment to forward thinking and forward actions, and should not be mistaken for therapeutic intervention. Consider this analogy: If you were sitting in a car, therapy would be like looking in the rear-view mirror to heal the past ... making your OK with today. Coaching is about looking forward through the windshield and moving towards a destination. It's taking today, leveraging what's right, and creating the future.

My think my clients are great. I am fortunate to have the privilege of choosing my clients. I want to coach and enjoy coaching each one of you. You are all growing, successful, and well; and I am assisting you to become the parents you want to be.

I expect your best. If you are hiring me, then you’re probably ready to do and be your best. And if you aren’t doing your best, I’ll ask you to. If you can’t do that at the moment, I’ll understand and do what you need to be heard, loved, and helped back onto your path.

I make direct requests. From time to time, I’ll make a binding inquiry, such as “Will you accomplish X by the end of the month?” You may say yes, say no, or offer another solution. I will support you and encourage you whichever way you respond.

I give suggestions. If I have some ideas and you’re open to it, I’ll make specific suggestions on how to handle a problem or situation. If I am not sure, I’ll say so. Honesty is one of my values. I am honest and straight and I expect the same from you. Regardless, use the best of what I say and use your own judgement when taking action.

I don’t step over much. When I hear a funny tone in your voice, or notice something amiss, I’ll ask you about it. Often it is these small moments that offer the chance to resolve something. However, I don’t confront or push; I’ll merely invite you to look at something. I will often interrupt when I notice something that I feel should be addressed right away or when I feel that I have enough of the details about the situation to begin coaching.

I often give homework. I will sometimes ask that the client come up with two or three goals or actions to work on between calls. If it is too much, say so. If you want more, just ask.

I am here. I want to hear it all. If you have a personal problem, are disturbed with something (even me or the coaching), are just starting to realize something big, or can’t wait to share a big win, call or email me. Anytime.

I am committed to life long learning. I will continuously search out knowledge that will make a difference to me, my clients, and future generations.

I am innovative and creative. I will use my talents to create useful services and products that will make a difference to all who use them.

I am committed to creating lasting loving family relationships. I will continuously seek to strengthen and improve the loving bonds between myself and my children, and help others to do the same.

I am making a contribution. I will give back to my community by making the ideas, services and products I develop available to everyone at prices they can easily afford—free if necessary.

I am making a difference. I am increasing the amount of love and harmony on the planet, one family at a time, helping to create a positive legacy for generations to come.

I am committed to helping others see the greatness that lies within. Each one of us is capable of achieving greatness, however, we are unable to see or recognize our gifts or potential. I am committed to helping others realize the strengths and gifts they possess, and use them to achieve success.

Why should you choose to work with me? Ultimately you have to decide what factors are important to you when hiring a coach. In addition to the above points, here are a few more to consider:

Experience. I now realize that everything up to now in my life has been preparing me to become a parenting & life coach (For more details, check out my online bio).

  • I have personally experienced, both as a child and adult, many of the situations parents bring to the table to solve.
  • I have also spent over a decade working with parents and children as an award-winning elementary school teacher here in Hamilton, Ontario.
  • I am a divorced father of two myself, and former stay-at-home Dad
  • I have worked both in education and in the Corporate world, and continue to balance work, family, and life (and all its surprises) on a daily basis.
  • I am regularly published in magazines across North America each month.
  • I have earned my Professional Coaching Certification (PCC) through the International Coaching Academy (Over 250 hours of instruction).

Value. Many people equate this with price, but that is only part of the picture. While it is true my prices are currently lower than many coaches, I pride myself on delivering exceptional value. I am so confident, that I offer a 100% money-back guarantee on all my products and services. Why? I know how hard you work for you money, and the last thing you want to do is throw it away on some low-end product or service. I also know ... and I'll be honest ... that if you're really happy ... you'll tell your friends!
